Default heated seats not working

2003 suburban heat switch lights up for a few seconds then goes off.. on both drivers and passengers side..

Have you used a DVM to check the resistance on the seat heaters to see if they are the same resistance or show open?

our 05 did this, needed one seat back heater panel replaced. Some good on line tutorials for this - I opted to have my mechanic do it
