HELP! Suburban misfire continues. Running out of $$$$$ HELP
I have recently purchased a 99 burb 5.7 with 180k miles. When I test drove it, it ran great. I bought it even though the fuel guage didn't work. The first thing I did was run it out of gas. Now the problems began shortly after. It started to misfire. I replaced the fuel filter and it was fine for a couple thousand miles. Then I got O2 sensor error codes and determined the cats were bad. I replaced cats and O2 sensors plugs wires cap and rotor. Again the burb ran fine, even better. A couple hundred miles later and there was a bad buck in the motor and I was burning coolant. I replaced the intake manifold gasket and other related gaskets. Again the burb ran great. Recently due to a power outage, there was a fuel shortage. I was forced to fill the burb up with Shell V Power super. It was the last of the fuel they had in the last of their tanks. Now the suburban feels like it's running on 3 cylinders. It has absolutely no power. WTF????? What else can I possibly replace to get this piece of junk running? Now I have so much money into it that I am stuck with it.
Two times you want to avoid fueling up, when the station is getting gas in its tanks, and in your situation. I'd suggest fuel line dry in the tank, or seafoam to help dry out water in your gas.
