Default How can I sell my truck for the money it is worth?

I have a 1988 Chevy Half ton Suburban V-series. Just over 104,000 miles. Rebuilt engine, tranny, and transfer case. All sorts of other new parts, it was repainted 10 years ago. Still needs a little work but right now its doing great. Only problem is I need to sell it because I am going to college in the fall 1200 miles from home. I absolutely love the truck but cant afford to drive it to and from college. Any ideas? or buyers???

Its too old to sell for much. Can you park it someplace until you get back?

Youd' be lucky to get a $1000 dollars for it now, to be very honest, IMO.

You're going to take a loss on this sale unless you just happen to find someone lusting over that exact truck. Don't stress, it happens to everyone.. I would try to store it and keep it for later. When you're 50 that will be a fun project.

I would like to do that but I need something I can take to college and this is all I have. I need to save up as much money as I can over the summer to afford my 20k a year tuition.

How about swapping your Burb out for something like a used Chevrolet Cavalier?

Chevy built that model for 23 years, and the 2.2 Eco-Tech motor will get around 24/25 City and 33/34 MPG on the highways.

My last one did that MPG quite well. The last year it was built was 2005, so you should be able to find one cheap.

check out online car sale ads in your area to get a indication of what your truck is worth.

Auto trader online would be a good resource to look at.
