How to install OEM Nav on 2007 Tahoe
Gosh.. I guess its better late than nevr, but I thought that all NON-BOSE hoes were out of luck when it came to adding OE NAV... Hmmm- i may need to add one. Thanks for all the tips!!
Hi, seems like your the expert on the nav install for '07 tahoe. I posted a couple treads at the end of this, you know why there are so many part numbers that will supposedly work? I want to buy one on ebay, but need some clarification. Thanks.
I have read ther posts on the 07 OEM sat nav unit installation
i have a 05 base model equniox and i bought a 07 nav unit (GM#15942543) is it a bit differnt from the tahoe?
and i already have XM with the car and Onstar can i make this work?

alright peoples.. HEREs the cATCH ON INSTALLING YOU FACTORY NAV., Yeah put mine in today. got it from ebay for $800 with shipping. Have an 07 Tahoe LT3 with rear dvd player.
Oh yeah, I'm a chevy tech. .
Put the radio in, programed everything. yay my voice recognition does not work. The radio can not hear me. Took the radio back out to find that the voice recognition wires going from the Radio connector 1 (terminals 4 and 5) to onstar vcim connector 3 (terminal 2 and 4) are not there. Oh yeah neither is connector 3 at the vcim. The truck is not prewired with it. Found out that you can get the vcim connector for about $6 (gm# 88988722 ), will also need a couple terminals #15359541 to go into connector 1 at the radio and 3 terminal #15445905 for the vcim connector. you will need to run couple 18gauge wires looping them around each other and a 3rd bare drain wire from the vcim that does not go all the way to the radio. the Vcim is under the radio so you don't need much wire. Yeah I know, sounds like fun, but whats the point of having a factory onstar if you can't use the voice recognition. Well I ordered my parts so I'll let you know how it works out. Just figured I'd let everyone know about it so you don't get pissed off trying to figure out why it doesn't work.
..
oh yeah, my radio number was different than whats listed at top of this forum, it was #15940102, thats for nav with bose w/o y91, with rear dvd player.
