Default I have a part issue that doesn't make sense.

I just recieved my new splash gaurds in the mail and I have a issue. They don't seem to fit.

When I look inside the guard itself it shows what I believe to be a prt # of 19131701 for one of the fronts (w/ running boards) and #19131702 for the other front.

Then I see part #19131707 on one of the rears and #19131708 on the other.

However this isn't what I ordered. On the directions that came with the rears it shows a part # 19131712 and for the fronts #19131703.

I tried putting them on and they seem close to fitting but they don't on the rear and the front doesn't even seem close. I ordered them through Chevy Parts Mall and their website is conveniently down.

Any ideas as to what could be going on. I've got a suspiscion that what I have is not correct.

I got mine at the dealer Monday. I put them on and took them right off! I can't stand mud flaps and they are as bad as any. I'll put them on when the snow flies and the salt goes down.

dealer part numbers
17802157 front w boards
17802159 rear

Front w boards
19131701 printed inside pass.
19131702 printed inside driver
19131703 is # paperwork
Rear
19131707 inside rr
19131708inside lr
19131712 is # paperwork

I was kind of shocked when I put my molded flaps on too. The rears didnt seem to fit perfectly either, the holes seemed to be higher than I could get the flap holes. However, after some serious cussing I got them on.

I was also shocked to find out that I had to drill holes in the front running boards to mount them, I thought they were no drill? At least that is what I was told!

That's what I was afraid of. When I try to put that slit in the mudflap around the pinchweld behind the wheelwell it wants to bend that pinchweld down and even then I can't get the holes to line up. I'm going to send them back. For OEM parts they absolutely fit like ****.

Did anyone else put on the fronts and drill the holes.

Has anyone had them on for a length of time and removed them? Do you think it will rub the paint or caust black marks on my white paint, or any color paint?

I drilled the holes in mine, but haven't taken them off. My rear flaps fit nicely. The front ones I had to trim a little where they went over the running board. It wasn't fitting tight against the body.

Does anybody else know what I'm talking about with placing that groove over the pinchweld on the rear mudflap? It seems like it wants to bend down when I try to push up the top of the mudflap to align the holes.

Mine lined up perfectly. You are talking about that hook that hooks onto the bottom of the bumber?

Yeah that's it. Seems like I had to use aloto of force. I would slide that groove over the pinchweld and then move the top towards the holes. As I did this it started to bend the pinchweld down.
