I heard the template is off and the cover will not stay very well if you follow it. They advised to hold the cover up and decide on the drill location instead.

HUMM, I was told no drilling! LOL

Are the holes that have to be drilled visible if the cover is removed? Trying to picture the location of the holes, but i am not getting avery good image, .

Had no issues drilling holes or the fit of rear facia cover. Fits great. When off, you cannot see the holes drilled.
As far as mud guards, I have only installed the rears so far. I ordered the painted ones for an Escalade. Look great. I think I will run into some issues on front. Not sure yet.
