inexpensive way to read transfer case fault codes?
Hello,
Our 2004 Suburban is showing the Service 4WD error, and the selector switch lights are out. The switch and grounds seem ok, so I'd like to read the diagnostic codes.
Is there an inexpensive way to do this with aftermarket software/adapter or a modestly priced scan tool?
Thanks for any info.
Doug

I did, however, spend a bit of time looking at some of the bluetooth dongle plus phone app systems. These seem to have got a lot more prevalent since I last looked. It makes perfect sense, of course, to use the nice screen/keyboard and internet connectivity that virtually all of us are carrying around with us.
Bluedriver seems popular, and claims to read these types of codes too. Does anyone have experience of Bluedriver vs Torque pro vs ?? for our trucks?
thx.
