install of aftermarket radio but want to keep the rear dvd
thanks for all the help you guys , but before i go ahead with this , i need to know the facts so i can take it to my install guy so he wont hack the scit out of the truck. i havent taken the diagram i got from gm geek ( thanks man) yet . but i just want to cover mt bases
i will be replacing the head unit with a pionner z2 using the new pac adapter to be able to retain the factory chimes and onstar. my question is i need to keep the rear dvd , the rear dvd does not have the av in ( it has the factory harnes ) i need to make and adapter for it. can you help.

Just installedthe Pioneer D3 inmy 07 Tahoe with the PAC OS3-BOSE and PACSWI-PS. I also wish to retain my rear factory dvd monitor. HELP!

there is a little trick to it
right after you disconnect your factory radio, you'll loose power to infrared module, which is located in your overhead screen.
so what you'll need to do is, remove RSA module (behined your center console). You'll see 2 connectors, gray and green. on your gray connector, locate pink wire (pin#14) and connect switched 12 volt FUSED power to it. so that way you'll still able to use factory headphones. audio signals for infrared module are located at gray plug behined radio. I'm sure by looking at diagramm you already figured that out
