Intermittent #6 Cylinder miss
Not plug or coil or wire. Switched all three to different cylinders, no change, still #6 misfire. Doesn't sound like a valve, cylinder seems to have compression since no intake blowback or valve leakage in exhaust sound. Not sure the OBD diagnostics would record a burnt valve as a misfire. Since it has been intermittent indicates to me that valves are not involved, and no lifter noise to indicate a problem there. Pretty sure it is electronic since when the problem occurs, the Stabilitrack lights up simultaneously.
I have a code reader, that is how I know #6 is where the miss is located. My code reader does not read issues with the Stabiitrack or Traction control. My confusion is how is the Stabilitrack, traction control connected to the misfire. Both the cylinder miss and the Stabilitrack, traction control occur simultaneously, and go away together. Plugs and wires were replaced about 3,000 miles back. Also from reading on this forum taking it to a dealer doesn't seem to be an answer. The dealers discussed do not seem to have a clue, and just throw parts at the problem. I did stop at one dealership, quickly determined they weren't able to help me.
I have heard it said that 70-90 percent of the time, being a good mechanic/tech is diagnosing the problem properly on the first pass. I think that's quite true.
Assuming it's not a burned valve, which I believe would be a pretty constant thing, not intermittent, depending on several factors, I am thinking corrosion issues, or perhaps an issue with the ECM. Might even be a fuel injector going south. I dont have any experince with the StabiliTrak system, so I am just making some logical assumptions, using previous knowledge here.

130,000miles on engine. At the moment it is a constant problem, but it has been intermittent, as much as 1,000 miles between incidents. Miss is obvious, code reader is only needed to indicate cylinder involved. When it quits everything is normal, no warnings or service engine lights. Engine should be cool enough to change plugs/wires. I'll see what that does.
