Default Issue with air control

I have a weird clicking noise when I try to select the direction of my air flow wether it’s to defrost the windshield or blow warmer air into the main channels and the floor. It will change direction but not the way it used to a week ago... I also notice when I try to adjust the airflow rate it doesn’t seem to blow hard or really blow air at all more so a slight draft from the vents... the clicking continues and no air. A/C gets icy cold and the heat gets hot! Anymore information I can provide I would be glad to... I don’t want to replace the blend door actuators or resistors of any sort without figuring out full issue/ cause of the problem... it isn’t safe driving in the morning with no defrost and iced over glass. I greatly appreciate any response,

Drew

Sounds like an under-dash actuator, had this happen (with the clicking too) on both our 1994 Suburban and 2005 Yukon Denali. Cost me $400 to have fixed on the 1994, did it myself on the 2005.

So I installed a Dorman under-dash actuator (half factory part price) in our 2005 Yukon Denali and had to have the computer learn to recognize it, used information from Internet. Like standing on one foot and waving a dead chicken over your head.....
