Red face Just picked up a 99 tahoe LT now for towing???

Hey guys,

Thanks for taking the time to read. My question is, what is everything I need to get before I can start towing, i will be towing my 90 rx7 which is about 1800lbs then a u-haul trailer is another ?? i have no clue.

Do i need to get a brake helper system i dont know if thats right Im new to this world Ive been involved in my rx7 and nothing but it since I was 16 Im 25 now and Im tired of not having enough room when going to the track and seeing as my car isnt street legal nor has it ever been I decided to pick up a 99 tahoe LT. It came with a tow bar on the back. Do i need ne thing else besides the hitch?

Thanks alot,

Mike

You should be able to use a 4 pin connector for the trailer unless you have the factory 7 pin in place already. You won't need a brake controller for a U-Haul trailer, it will have surge brakes on it.

The motor is bored and stroked, dart heads, mild cam, edelbrock intake, holley throttle body and headers with 2.5" true duals and glass packs. The lift was a 6" rough country that came with all the crap to drop the front axle, rear blocks and a add a leaf spring. With the shocks I think I paid about $850 for it 5 years ago. I have since done a solid axle swap on the front with leaf springs.
Thanks for asking.
