My 2004 Tahoe is having issues with the keyless remote (yes I changed the battery). Seems that it will only work when I am inside the vehicle. I tried to relearn the remote several times but it will not work outside the vehicle...any ideas?

 

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes and resetting the whole system?
