This is what I ordered but I used them in my F250 I don't know if they will fit in the suburban. Although they did come up as a package deal when I was buying the other lights. And yes they are quite bright.

Well.. I have an update for this post. the lamps that I used for license plate lights have not held up.. I had to pull them out as one was out and the other flickering... you can see from the pics that they turned brown from getting hot, they even smelled a bit toasty
I can't really complain too much as they were the left over LED lamps I had originally purchased for my deck lights...

The interior lights are doing fine no problems with those... I also checked the condition of the LED's that are in my deck lights and they are just fine.

I suspect the problem is the higher voltage put out by the truck when running ( 14.70vdc) per my meter at start up and that they are on for much longer times then what my deck lights are on...

So back to searching for some decent LED's that will fit in the license plate light pods...

Have you looked at Superbright LEDs?

I should give them a look, I originally got my LED's for my camper from Superbright, and they have held up well... Amazon has been my goto due to convince and super fast shipping plus its an easy to use app on my phone...
I would imagine that Superbrigths are a better quality then some of the imports on Amazon..

I thought it was just me. I had to replace my lic plate lights on the burb too. One of the LEDs fell apart the top and one side came off. The other burned out it must be the higher voltage. I am using them in my F250 for the cargo/3rd brake light, and my lic plate lights and those all seem to be fine, but I don't use the truck that much and it is much lower voltage. Guess I will be looking into some superbrights

I also noticed that they can shake out of their mountings and go out then I have to push them back into place or tap the lens really hard and they will come back on. Probably not the best light for this application.
