I recently replace the tag light bulbs in my 2007 Tahoe with led bulbs. They are a bright pure white color/ Does anyone know of a bulb for the reverse lights that is pure white rather than the yellowish color they are now, to match the tags. From looking online the back up lights are 7441 and I have not been able to find a led in that number

Yes I have looked there, they do not have them.

 

I haven't pulled the bulb to look at it but what could be so special about it, its a reverse lamp not a turn signal or multi-element, I wonder if its because of its brightness... I bet you could put a replacement LED in but will it be as bright....

None of those say they will work for a 7441 bulb

 

Google 7440 images and nothing but lamps and bulbs come up , Google 7441 and nothing remotely resembling a lamp or bulb comes up...

wonder what is up with this unique bulb....

 

I've been told you can use a 7440 instead of a 7441 bulb...
