Default Lifting 1984 Suburban

Hello, I have a 1984 K20 Suburban. It is stock height and I would like to put 33s underneath it without cutting the fenders. I want some advice on whether to put on a lift kit or just add-a-leaf to get my desired height. I know I have to get it up 2.5 inches to get wheel clearance.

I am also curious about shocks. Do I need to get longer shocks or will stock shocks work with the lift? I am also not sure whether to get Hydro or Nitro shocks.

I am not planning to do hardcore off-roading. This will be my hunting, fishing, branding, and other mild off-road vehicle. I will run into mud but not mudding pits.

Thanks
