Default Low Gas Mileage

Can anyone give me any ideas on how to increase my gas mileage on my 07 Tahoe, 4wd. I have never gotten above 16.5 and consistently average around 15+.

Good luck. We drive around town and average 12.5 no matter what. I'd love to get 15-16 mpg.

i used to get 16.8 on my suburban, but put in new exhaust and 24" rims and now I'm down to 16.1.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum.

If you're talking city driving, then 15+ is great. I get 12+. Can improve that a little by using tow mode cuz that'll keep it in V4 mode more. Best ever was 19+ pulling jet ski and driving 55-60.

Hmmm, then I cannot complain about my average: 19.1 -- I do 95 percent highway driving and have aheavy foot.My LS is 2wd so that may make a difference.

Me too , I'm guessing you have the 3.42 rearend also, but I have been using the light foot method and get 20.1 ( my best so far) on the highway and never less then 16 in the city

Yep, I have the 3.42 rear end. Never less than 16-city in2pro? Not too shabby. Something to be said for not driving like a maniac.

But what's the fun it that?

lvegaskid1: Not all the time. Usually only if I'm going on a long stretch of 40-45 mph limit.
