Default Is a LTZ AWD still a K1500?

Hopefully the subject says it all. Is a 2006 Suburban LTZ AWD still a K1500?

I would imagine so. My Z71 is still refered to as a K1500 by the insurance company.

Does your VIN# have a "K" in it?

Yes, it starts out 1,G,N,F,K,1,6,U,4,6,Jxxxxxx. My insurance paper work says something like V10 K10 V15 K15. I just always understood K1500 to mean a 4WD 1/2 ton full size GM vehicle. I know people who love to explain that AWD IS NOT 4WD. This made me wonder, is the AWD LTZ a K1500 or not. I found on the drivers door, the model says Merchandising Model : CK15906.
