Thanks Shark. It's weird because you only see it in direct sun when its straight above. Any other time you can look at the hood at any angle, and the paint looks perfect.

 

If that's the case, then I can almost guarantee that the color coat is just too thin.

I thought w/ the robotic paint systems they used now, it would be flawless. My 07 black one had a small amount of candy metal flake in it. Just barely visible in bright sunlite. Was a real PITA to color match.
