Default memory seats

hello i just bought a 2002 tahoe and it didnt come with the book i ordered one but its gonna take a little while to get here so can anyone tell me how to set the memory seats? it has the option on the drivers side door. thanks

Just hold the button (1 or 2) until you hear a double beep. That means that it's set.

ok tried that it never beeped but it did remember the back part of the seat but not the bottom????

It has to be in "Park".

I know you have to have it in PARK to have it adjust to a saved postion (they don't want the seat moving etc while you are trying to drive.) I'm not sure if it has to be in park to save a position.
