Default Mirrors

Right now my 2009 suburban has power mirrors. I was wondering if I could upgrade to any options. I would like to have the signal and heat. I don't have the controller switch for power folding so I am sure I would have to run wires which is way over my head. I am hoping to be able to plug and play.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

a lot of automakers had the cars pre-wired from the factory. makes it easier to just install options down the line. i don't know if chevy is one of them but a little research and you may find out if it's there. so it would be plug and play if you wanted to add switches for folding. maybe if you pop off the master switch you can tell.

trainwreck91 is correct, the wiring harness is there, and the features like signal and heated mirror will most likely function right after install...however, if you want the power folding option, you will need to add the switch panel option for that AND have the dealer enable the programming for it... the power folding option has to be enable in the BCM, you are looking at a one hour charge to have that done, about $110, even though it will only take them about 10min

Wow. Seems like everything has to go through the gatekeeper (bcm)! Good going chevy at getting in our pockets!
