Thanks Big. I got the number off the gmlink website (1-866-my-gmlink) like you suggested and just missed their closing time of 11 p.m. Eastern. I will give them a call tomorrow since their voice message said the gmlink customer service is open 7 days a week 8 am - 11 pm.

While you've got them on the phone, ask why there are no descriptions next to the recalls posted for the 'hoes (please)....

Thanks for the info, BUT.... I paid GM $50k to tell me that. Heck - I still have yet to get written notification for the E85 one. I had that one done a few days after it was published.

I spoke to the customer service center early today and got my VIN registered quick and easy. They were extremely nice and fast.

I asked about getting a description of the recall (per jlenkows request). She told me to click on the link next to recall and the PDF file would download. I then noticed that I had no recall info for the 07033 recall. I called back and she helped me and got me the info quickly and said not all recall info has a PDF link.

She also told me that if a recall was issued and you had it fixed before the recall was issued that you can get you $ back. They are extremely helpful and the wait for a live operator is only 2 minutes or so (The 2 calls I placed anyway). Sunday seems to be a good day to call them.

Thanks again everyone who posted here.

Did you get this software adjustment?

If so, did it make a difference in preventing battery rundown?
