Default Nav disc question

hello all, can anyone tell me what the difference is in nav discs is aside from updating actual street names and new streets? I have a 2010 tahoe with disc version 4.1c, are there significant changes (either visually or functionality) with the newest version? thanks..

This has been discussed in couple of other threads. Cliff Notes version is it speeds it up a little, allows a little more entry while moving, and the legal warning doesn't pop up every time. Probably some more but don't remember. It does erase your address book when the SW is updated.

it is faster overall and one of the best thing I noticed is it is much faster to turn on and switch to your camera when going into reverse. Some of the streets have different colors to help differentiate the sizes. other than that just the addition of more streets/POIs and a few other features

junior1790, I would like to forward this question on to our Technical Assistance team to see if I can get a set of updates for the latest navigation disc and what they do for the system. All I would need is for you to direct message me your name and VIN. Thank you for your time.

Default Yeahh...

update or not, it still doesn't do 1/2 what a $100 GPS does.

1. can't enter while moving (honda can, as can Benz)
2. doesn't say street names
3. can't dynamically zoom based on speed
4. charges for traffic (most offer lifetime free or cheaper servies)
5. waypoints are WAY off.
6. entering a destination and then way points is wrong. People don't think like that.
I want to go to Giant, then Lowes, then Home... so fire up the GPS.. OK, GIANT... then... OHH Crap, you mean I have to enter where I want to go LAST, FIRST?! What the F*$&
7. GPS signal drops out constantly
8. I'm sure there's more but I have to get to a meeting where we do real work... silly GM etch-a-sketch.

Not to mention that the voice command doesn't work at all.

Why would you need a VIN number to list a set of upgrades from the last Nav disc to this latest one?

Getting the VIN is the information needed for me to forward questions on to our Technical Assistance team. Thats all it is. I don't mean to scare anyone or anything. I just need the proper information to get the proper answers back from the other departments I collaborate with. I hope that helps to explain why I need the VIN for this request.
