if you guys have 4.1c why did my 09 come with 4.0c?!

I have successfully made backups, i have the procedure in this forum as well.

i wonder what all 4.1c has that I dont

I did find a way to backup the discs, so maybe someone will let me test drive a 2010 for ohh say 20 min lol!

I have no mercy if their sh*t doesn't work right, call it evening up the field...

 

I just bought my 2007 and called GM and they sent me 4.1c which is the latest update. I was told by 2 dealers it was a promotion for owners of any 2007 with the Navigation unit. It was a three year deal and it expires December 31, 2009. If you call and give them your Vin #, they will verify you have not yet received 4.1c and will send it out.

 

well, i only have a 09 tahoe, not a 07, but if anyone w/the 4.1c disc would allow me to borrow it for 20 min, I wouldn't mind

 

I wasted $200 on the 4.1c disc when I had 4.0c thnking it would fix my navtraffic issue. It didnt and there is nothing that I can see different with the new disc.

 

that sucks, what does yours do wrong? Mine works, but voice commands for destinations do not.

I was hoping my home address/streets (built 2003) would be on 4.1c

When your low on gas and it annoys you w/that prompt...

Start vehicle, get low on gas chime, put in reverse to back out of parking space, then go to drive to drive... screen goes BLACK... turn screen off/ on... nothing... pressing a hard key fixes it, but that's BS. My theory is it's stuck at that stupid gas prompt that the backup camera overides

 

The low gas warning is configuarable in the menu section... just turn it off. I am always aware of my fuel available anyway. Im a private pilot so im kinda trained to.

 

I will turn it off now that I know its an option, but it's still a bug!

If it knows the fuel level, is it linked to the BCM? or ECM?

If I can actually hack the firmware on this damn thing can I have the head unit display like the exact voltage, engine temp, g-sensor stuff, ABS sensor stuff, TPS positon? current gear, etc?

 

I recently purchased a new nav disc for my 07 Tahoe (PN 2085742U version 4.1c). I didn't know I could get a free update to my original software. The disc would not complete the installation and now the screen is stuck with the message "Preparing to load System Software. Please wait.." Since the screen is stuck I can not eject or do anything. I am waiting on a email reply form GM Nav Disc. Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?
