Dave:
The confirmation I received for the upgrade disc is for the same disc I have. (#15934919 ) It appears that I already have the most current version of 2.0. Do you know of an upgrade fix...I hate to waste one of my free upgrades if it is the same. What do yo advise?

Don't waste an update just hold tight and there will be another update DVD after the first of the year.
The problem with this unit is that we switched from Delphi to Denso head units this year and are just getting some of the kinks ironed out, quality and features wise the Denso is superior we just have to get Navteq (the DVD map builder) to get on the same page and they're working on it, if a dual layer DVD held more then 8.5gig's of info it wouldn't be a as big a problem but they have to drop info to add info.

Dave:
I called the Nav Disc Center to cancel the order, they informed me that they are only the vendor for the disc itself and could not give any technical advice. They also claim that new discs are produced between June and August only. They are aware of the problem, but have no quick fix available. They suggest driving in circles to recallibrate. I am more confident with your response...they do not seem as knowlegeable.

I believe you get 2 free upgrades of the Nav CD. I read it on another forum. Somebody please step in and confirm this cause I wouldn't know where to find it again.

seems like you and i have the same issue on my 07 tahoe lt3 my icon isnt as accurate as the map my icon is eisther on the right of the intersectoin or should i say if im at a corner the icon is not exactly on the corner street its to the right and lower on the map screen.
the other thing is you might of noticed it infact quite a few people might of noticed it whe you get on lets say 45n and exit on a ramp
the icon continues to stay on 45n untill you eiather turn right onto a street or make a u turn under 45 then the icon will realize your not on 45n.we have a very poorly navi unit the brand might be good but it really s ks. i think if it went on nothing but gps it would be very accuarate what do you think dave? i just took mine to the dealer and had a tech ride with me and he saw it himself, he himself has a 06 dont know if it was a truck or tahoe but he says his navi unit is right on the money. so we took a new pdi burban 07 ltz and i personally opened up the 2.0 nav disc he gave me that honor lol and installed it on navi unit we took it for a spin and guess what that dam thing is doing the same thing crap lol so i just told him that i wouldnt waste any more of his time we parked it and he insisted on calling tech line so i said cool let me know what they say. oh and had my side molding replaced the damnn paint dont even match
should of just got some 3m two sided tape and reinstalled my old one ....

Ok, here's the scoop....The Nav Disc Center is just a marketing arm for the vender of the disc. (Budco) They have no technical knowlege, they only oversee deistribution of updates. The planned updates ar June-July. After considerable experimentation, I find that the system is inaccurate by as much as 50 yards on certain roads, and totally accurate on others. The test I am performing is hitting the "mark" button at a particular address and seeing if it jives with the actual address. The "cursor" is always right on the display, the corresponding address is not. There is no recalibration procedure for this. I look forward the the corrections that Dave/ZX says will be coming in the beginning of 2007.
Maybe if I change the tail lights to the Escalade or the Denali version it will be better....The console cubby cover had no effect.
