Default Navigation and the radio 2008 Tahoe

Does anyone know how to use the Navigation with the radio off. When I turn the radio off it turns off the Navigation as well. Or do I just mute the radio and if I do that does that also mute the voice prompt for turns when using the Navigation?

Thanks

Good question. Maybe you can just put it in AUX so there is NO sound except for the Nav voice. I believe the MUTE mode will silence the voice also.

just turn down the radio's volume all the way. The NAV voice is not associated with the vol ****.

Thanks, That is what I have been doing, but it bugs me that I know the radio is still on, I will have to deal with it.

Thanks again.
