Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Navigation System

I love my Chevy Tahoe. I just purchased my 4th Tahoe in the past 12 years. I skipped a few years while I drove a beamer but missed my tahoe.
Anyway, I don't get why GM has locked the navigation system from the passenger operating it. We travel a lot and we have to stop the vehicle to see POI's or add an address. It is nuts.
I hear there is a way to bypass this. Does anyone know the best equipment that will do the job and not damage the system.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

You should be able to see the POIs while in motion.

Hello, and Welcome!

The first thing I would suggest is making sure your navigation system is up to date. As of now, the latest software is the 2011 map disk which is version 6.0.

The other thing you can check out, as mentioned by 73shark, is the Coastal Tech Lock Pick. See their webpage HERE.
