Default Need to know what to call this boot on my 2007 Tahoe 4X brake assembly..

I had to heat the bolts attaching the bracket for the caliper on my front brakes to get the locktite to release on the threads. I melted one of the rubber seals as shown in the photograph I'm attaching. Can someone tell me what it is called and if it's available at a normal parts store or just a dealer.

Thanks.. Gary

Default Also... Do you need to reapply the loctite to the assembly to re-attach it?

That was how I burned my seal but I presume they put it on for a reason. Was it just over-kill?

Thanks.. Gary
