OK... been using the AM14 for several days now... Gotta tell you -- the range is truly AMAZING!!! Open space is nearly 1/2 a mile.... building to parking lot is incredible as well -- my office can't get cell service (you have service outside though) but can get the 2 way everything about 150 feet into the building and 800 feet from the building to my truck in the parking lot.
Now all I need to get is a remote control driver to bring my Tahoe to the front door of the building for me. KITT anyone???

Basically, the unit was one rev older than the instructions. The docs said to hit the lock button then hold the start button - like you would with the factory remote start. The software on the unit requires you to hit the lock button then the start button twice. All it took was a 2 minute call to their tech support line.
No worries at all.

Tested it... Nope. This unit is only an add-onto the RKE and Remote Start systems. You would need the alarm module installed if you want 2-way security alerts.
