Default New 2008

Just ordered the 2008 fully pimped LTZ with all the bells and whistles!!! The only feature passed by were the power running boards. Pretty excited! The options didn't list the reverse cam...does anyone know if this is standard if getting the navigation, DVD, package?

Unfortionatly there were no changes to the 2008's. After reading a few comments and speculations about the 2008 I was really hoping for the 6-speed and some other upgrades, but nothing. Same truck, different year

Congrats on the 08!

I wouldn't want power running boards. They make the body appear thinner when tucked.
I've seen tahoes with 24's & 26's and the boards tucked, it doesnt look good in my opinion.
The boards fill in the gap between the ground and the body on a dropped tahoe rolling big wheels.
Its more pleasing to the eye.

I too thought there would be a 6 speed tranny and 6.2 V8.
My tahoe is tough enough. I'd rather not waste more fuel on a 6.2
Glad to hear 08's are a carry over since I already got the 07 LTZ (on 24's).
5.3 Tahoes have plenty of power when you drop the hammer.

Uh, you sure about that? ZX says the 2008 has the 6 speed transmission.

Yeah I'm pretty confident as I just ordered it. Here is a partial copy of my order sheet.

Congratulations!

When you went through the ordering process for your Tahoe did you see any option for the Hybrid?

Also, I'm surprised the back up camera wasn't included on your LTZ since I could swear that was made a standard option like the chrome mirror covers, grill, and door handles.
