New to me 2009 3/4 Ton Burb
I bought an 09 6.0 3/4 Ton burb a year ago used and we have put about 70,000 miles on it (lots of highway miles). It currently has approx. 168,000 on it and I am getting ready to drive across country again so that will go up lol. I wanted to know if anybody has some higher mileage on theirs and what suggestions do you have as far as maintenance I should be doing to take care of it.
I have flushed Tranny at 125,000
diffs fluid changed 150,000
Radiator flushed 150,000
Replaced Catalytic Converters 128,000
New shocks
The belt looks good and I have no leakage anywhere so I guess all is good but I have been worried wether or not to replace the water pump or something.
I do get a bearing sound every once and while when I start it up (rattle can sound like a spray paint can rattle). Other than that it has no real issues.

I agree, a new set of Plugs would be in the right direction, then...
I'd go ahead and buy a Belt, and if you didn't want to put it on right away, just stow it somewhere just in case. You could be somewhere near nowhere when it may go.

Think about doing the fuel pump. It would be miserable having to deal with that while on the road. Next, I'd do the starter and maybe the alternator just to be on the safe side.
Some people run coolant hoses forever but I swap them at 100k.

Thx for the replies. I had the cats replaced because it failed the smog test.
Good idea about the replacement parts. I'm going to start with new plugs.
I'm currently traveling back across country to Calif. I towed an old 80 chevy truck from Az to Nc and it was my first Tow with it. I was extremely impressed. Towed great and had great fuel Economy for a gasser.

I had just below half a tank on the gauge but ran out of gas. I assumed it was the fuel pump but it was a surprise when I dropped the tank and it was empty.
The problem is that I replaced it all and the gauge is still reading more than it should and I'm wondering what the deal is. No check engine lights or anything.
I did not notice any differences with new pump but at least I have peace of mind and I wanted to change it anyways at some point.
Anybody have or had this issue?

The gas gauge in my 08 2500 Burb is wonky, too. It doesn't drop below 3/4 of a tank until I've used like 20-25 gallons, and then it drops quickly. I've resorted to using the fuel used feature in the DIC, and I reset it at every fill up.
