Default No start 1999 Tahoe 5.7l

Hey sorry I’m new and I didn’t find anything that helped me in the current posts so what I have is my 1999 Tahoe 4x4

New parts before current problems

fuel filter
fuel pressure regulator and upper intake gaskets
new plug / wires and distributor
new ignition coil

Was running Strong and great till last week wife took the kids to the bus stop and then got them in the Tahoe to go to the bus next morning and would not start

symptoms
bogging down while cranking
backfiring out exhaust and the intake
I have modulation and voltage at my coil and ignition control module but instead of seeing a 12volt to the connectors I’m only getting 10.8 Volts
then for then for the module while cranking I’m getting 6.6-10.7 volts while cranking not the 1-4 volts so I am getting the p1351 code for high voltage at one point while I was cranking the engine over there was a electrical arc on the bracket for the coil and control module got two new ones and a new crank position sensor no dice

Parts replaced yesterday

ignition coil
ignition control module and crank sensor

current status will crank but slows down while cranking sometimes will try and run and just shuts off other times it just backfires out the exhaust and intake

Just a little curious,
When you replaced the plug wires ,did you do them one at a time or all at once?
There is a firing order where the spark has to be delivered to the right cyl at the right time and I kinda wonder if you did that part correctly.. In addition to that the direction of rotor rotation must be right also..
It does sound like you might have overlooked one or both of those required steps.

Plug wires are correct and as well as the clocking of the rotor if they had been the problem it would not have been running before I had this problem seems how it was running perfectly fine after the new distributor plugs and wires for months ran perfect on Monday took the kids to school and then parked it went to take them to school on Tuesday and it didn’t want to start and was backfiring completely random so been checking everything only code I’m getting is the p1351 high voltage but wires and everything I can see and get to in the engine bay look good no burnt/ broken wires so I’m not sure what could be causing high voltage seems how everything this far has checked out unless somehow the new distributor has failed internally

Well there is a first for everything turns out it was a fail internally on the distributor cap put a new one on before putting another new distributor in and she fired right up and runs great
