Default Noisy Tahoe

I have a 2000 Tahoe. On start up when cold I get a knocking/ticking sound on one side of the engine. Tends to go away after the oil has warmed. Usually there is no engine noise on start up.
Just asking for possible causes and fixes. I have been told to get Sea foam into the engine via the filler cap and vacuume hose ???
Thanks for any input

Seafoam is a good start. Usually that sound is from valve lash.

banderson_27: Welcome to the forum.

May be a worn lifter(s) leaking down also. If it goes away after warmup, I wouldn't be too concerned.
