Default Is this Normal?

Lately I have noticed that my power steering seems almost go out when I am braking and turning. What I mean by power steering going out is that the steering get much heavier as though power steering is just barely assisting. This is on my 07 Tahoe if that matters. Thanks

We have similar symptoms on our '07. Took it in for service last weekend but the dealer couldn't duplicate the problem. My wife notices it most when pulling out of the driveway but it is not all the time.

I guess I am not going crazy afterall. Mine comes and goes as well. I am going to see if I can "make" it duplicate the problem on purpose this afternoon.
