Welcome to the forum.

I'd just follow the manual on oil as far as weight goes and use a good brand, Quaker State, Pennzoil to name a few. Stay away from Fram filters tho.

Pennzoil is considered good oil? Jiffy Lube also uses that brand.

I prefer Mobil One or Castrol.

Any brand is fine as long as it is the correct weight and viscosity, is detergent and API certified (has the star burst)
Dino vs. Synthetic is a personal choice... Synthetic is proven to hold up longer...
I use Mobile1 5w-30 Synthetic and and AC Delco oil filer for my 07 5.3L Vortec E85 engine....

Personally I use Mobil 1. Reason I mentioned Pennzoil and Quaker State are those are (or were originally) both from Pennsylvania crude which is a paraffin based oil and was supposed to be better. Used them both since I started driving and have put over 100K on most of my vehicles w/ no engine problems.

Jiffy Lube's problem isn't the oil they use, it's the people they use.
