Default OnStar and Blue tooth

Does anyone know the year that this option came out and would it work if I replaced my OnStar with a newer one that had Bluetooth? I have heard that I could do this for less than 300 bucks

2009 was when you could get Bluetooth OEM in the Tahoe.

it was one of the reasons I went with the 09.
