I agree with 73shark, you may need to have the temperature sensor replaced. Is there anything blocking the sensor (behind the front grill)?

I have had the same issue in my 2010 sierra and I have an aftermarket grille, but my dad has a 2010 silverado, stock everything and he has the exact same problem.

Default Slow response.

I purchased a used 2013 Tahoe on May 25,2017. All systems work fine. Purchased mileage was 57,497. Ambient temperature displays is sometimes slow to respond or show same temperature all day. Senor seems to be clear of any obstacles. Did not act up intel September.
Any ideas out there ?
