Default Overheating

How's it going everybody out there had a question about my 93 suburban 2500 454 so I just recently got the air conditioning done the whole shebang and I noticed when I started driving it and when I'm at a stop the temperature gauge wants to rise and I cannot put the air on Max without it wanting to overheat no matter what driving or not driving I was wondering if anybody had any advice

Well, where to start. Is the cooling system flushed/full? Is this a clutch fan? If it is a clutch fan, is it turning fast enough?

Welcome to the forum.

If electric fan, is it coming on? Is the air path to and thru the condenser and radiator clear and unrestricted? Fan shroud in place?

Doe sound like an issue with air flow over the condenser and radiator to me. So I agree: faulty fan clutch or electric engine fans, or missing pieces of fan shroud.
