Just purchased a 2014 Suburban. I cannot stand the luggage rack. I am going to take off the cross rails. I looked into the racks from a Yukon XL Denali, which look good. They are very expensive, $ 630.00 for the pair plus shipping. I was considering painting mine Summit White to match the vehicle. I will never use the cross bars so they should not scratch butt, I am concerned if the paint will stick to this plastic. Has anyone tried this and what was the outcome??????

Check with an automotive paint store for something called an adhesion promoter. Tell them what you want to accomplish and they can probably help you.
