Pics of Tahoe without OEM Running Boards?
Has anyone taken off the OEM running boards and if you have, can you post some pics of it. I know a few of us on here are looking into buying aftermarket side "steps", "kickers" or whatever else they may be called and I was wondering if anyone has just taken the OEM running boards off. If anyone has, please post some pics.....THANKS!

I don't know if you've seen the OEM retractable running boards, but they tuck up very nicely against the frame and rocker panels. It gives the Tahoe a very nice look. I was going to order them but was advised not to because they were on backorder at the time and might have delayed production by "weeks" I was told.
I have not seen or even heard of those? Has anyone else heard of the retractable ones or better yet have them on and can take pictures of them???
I believe the Denali's or Escalades have these available, or possibly it is thestandard option! You might look search those 2 vehicles on the internet, forums, etc and you should see some pictures. I have seen them on a vehicle, I think ebay. It should them down and then retracted. I seem to remember them looking very similar to what we have now, except they fold up and down with the opening of the doors. I think this is how they operate. Maybe it is with the starting and stoping of the engine. I dont know for sure.
I saw a set of retractable running boards on a loaded LTZ tahoe at the dealer when I picked up mine. I not sure if they were aftermarket, but they were definately on a tahoe.

These are too much...just to step up in and not have the running board protection while driving. If you don't want to see them and hardly use them why have them at all.Off is free and my boy is 13 and doesn't need it any more.I thinkI would remove mine before upgrading.
