Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
OK, Mrs. Cusser just got a 2011 Yukon Denali XL. She has an Ipod7. Unfortunately, the stereo/entertainment thing in the vehicle is different than those described in the 2011 owner's manual (thanks, GM). So here's a picture of the entertainment thing in the dash
Would a 3.5mm male plug from a lightning plug fit into the hole where the red arrow is pointing to hear podcast sound? She says she can receive/talk on through the Yukon stereo through a "wireless Bluetooth" but cannot play podcast sound through the Yukon system. Or does she even need this 3.5mm male plug/lightning plug and she just doesn't know how to set up this Bluetooth to hear podcasts? Thanks.
Don't rely on me for much help, I did find about the 3.5mm male plug/lightning plug; my own phone is this, so you can tell my own phone background.
Probably will have to plug into the radio. A '11 system is not as advanced as the current systems. Back then there was no Bluetooth music or data capability just phone calls.

Question: reference photo below. Where that red arrow points, is that an input jack for 3.5mm plug, or is that a headphone jack? Like I posted earlier, this audio system is NOT shown or detailed in my 2011 owner's manual, figure someone with a 2010 or 2012 might have such system, thanks.
My '11 w/bose looks like yours. That is a input jack. Look inside your center console, on the back wall under the lid hinge should be a USB port also. To use both of those you may have to select the CD/aux button on the screen.

Are you saying that the USB port can be used to play the iPhone output through the GM audio just with that lightning to USB cable?????? Remember that I'm computer-ignorant, and this is Mr. Cusser's iPhone7 and 2011 Yukon !!!!
I don't use my phone to play stuff myself. Use a quality cable like a Apple cable and try it. If the ''old'' '11 system can do it then it will. The manual says the USB port will control the old back then Ipod which was a music storage player back then so maybe a new I phone will work.
I've tried everything to get my opener to work and it's no go for me. I suspect my opener module is bad. No worth buying a new one just to get rid of the clip on box on the visor. The ones in my 'nox and Traverse work per the instructions in the manual just fine though.
MODERATOR - please change title of this thread to IPhone7 from IPod7. Thanks.
Folks like me with phones like this get confused easily. I still use Window7.
