power steering whine

Is there a fix for this problem?

girlfriends father had that problem in his 92 suburband he went throught and replace the lines,andthe pump it quite

I have a high pitched whistling coming from my new 08 Silverado LTZ and a guy to me to get the steering mechanism replaced.

Just checked this out, this is still the latest bulletin for this concern and haven't come out with a fix as of yet

Wow! It's been a year and a half and still no fix ?! What are they doing? Is there any way to contact someone to find out what they are doing?

Hope you took it in while under warranty to document so when a fix does come out, you can get it done under warranty.

Yes I did. I'm just frustrated because the noise is driving me nuts and I can't believe they haven't come up a fix in over a year and a half.
