Default Radio not working, no dinging or sound in signals

I have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ and a few days ago it would not start. Seemed like the battery was dead. Tested the battery and it tested fine. Long story short, there was a problem with the negative battery cable. Since that the radio has been blank and there is no sound when I open the door or use turn signals. Checked fuses which are fine. Anyone ever had the same issue?

sounds weird. check ur wiring from the negative cable all the way down. i've had to replace mine on the wife's burb. u could change it, or have u changed the negative battery cable yet?

maybe it might be a dead relay. have u checked the relays yet? it should be in the fuse box under the hood. i'm sure the electrical experts will chime in later.

I've checked pretty much everything. Cleaned battery post and cables. Haven't had any cranking problems the last few days. Radio will eject a CD but that's all it does. Took the radio completely out and checked the connections. Taking it to dealership in the morning

Sounds strange. U sure the radio is the problem? Sometimes when a relay is out, it can cause funny things or some stuff not to work. Like ur door chime tat u mentioned.

the radio may have multiple fuses depending on the radio options, one for the radio and one for the amp.

the chimes are all a function of the radio.

Radio is bad due to a shorted out ground wire under the passenger seat. Thinking of replacing it with an aftermarket system. Any suggestions?
