Default Rear axle cover gasket 2007

I am going to change the fluid in my rear axle on my 2007 Tahoe. Is this a reusable gasket?

Thanks

I would go get a new gasket just to be safe. I don't think it will cost more than $10.

Thanks for the reply. Money is not the issue. My HD Ram truck has a captured o ring. I did not know if the Tahoe is the same.

Just curious why you wouldn't just suck it out. I know you won't get the last few ounces but it's sure a lot easier.

In case anyone is interested, the axle does use a gasket. It is GM part # 1807693. Costs about $8.00.

What is the best way to change the rear diff fluid? Just suck out the fluid and fill with new fluid, or remove the cover and install a new gasket?

Did you check on the bottom of the diff for a drain plug, that way you dont have to pull the backing plate off, my 2007 chevy 1500HD has it, makes it quick to change
