Rear seat entertainment headphones for 2023 Suburban
One of the wireless headphones that came with the RSE option was recently broken beyond repair. The replacement from GM is insanely expensive considering its mediocre performance and quality.
My question is can I replace it with a much higher quality wireless/Bluetooth headphone or is the wireless connection used by the OEM headphone proprietary forcing my back to GM for replacement?

Thanks very much for the update. I was hoping it was as you describe but I’ve learned not to trust GM lest they do something sneaky and proprietary.
now I have to figure out how to mediate the squawk between 2nd and 3rd row grandkids. I really got caught napping when I ordered the RSE option. My mistake that I thought the 3rd row would have screens and there would be a DVD player.
Bought a portable DVD player with a screen to drive the 2nd row screens as well but it a real PIA with HDMI cables just asking to get whacked by little feet.
All of this coupled with the required data plan to view YouTube and the marketing pressure for all the OnStar gizmos is aggravating, confusing, and disappointing.
