It may be helpful if you can take them for a ride so you may be able to better duplicate the circumstances that it happens under, otherwise don't be surprised if you get your truck back with about 20 more miles on the odo and a no issues found results and possibly the faint smell of breakfast taco's in the truck road trip... (just kidding) but really drive it with them if you can...

just picked my Tahoe up from the shop. The noise coming from the rear was the drive shaft spline. They were dry so they cleaned them and lubbed them. no more noise. They also took off my rear driver door and insulatted for the rattle. It sounds like its gone not sure yet.

nothing, im still in factory warranty but I would think that it would be covered under the powertrain warranty if not. All they did was drop the drive line and lube the spline with some kind of grease they have. The noise and bumping is gone now. My 07 silverado did the same thing, sometimes it felt like you were getting hit from behind. When the splines dry up it does that.

some squeaking and or squealing sound can come from the upper shock tube cover scrapping on the shock tube body, however the 07's have a plastic upper cover so this is probably not the issue.
What can also make the sounds is the drive shaft splines getting dry and needing to be lubricated. GM has a lube product that can be safely be applied to the drive shaft splines and won't contaminate the transmission hydraulic fluid.
Ask the dealer to lube the drive shaft splines, this will also address any clunking sounds you have when you come to a stop...

yup, it was the drive shaft splines. All the noise and bumping is gone now!
how long does that lube normally last?

the unfortunate part is it will only last about 6 to 8mo and will probably be doing it again... and your right it does feel like someone bumped into you...
I have found that coming to slower stops and letting off the brakes just before you stop helps unload it and it is not as pronounced. my 97 Tahoe was bad about it my 07 has been lubed once and has been doing okay but I think I will try and find the grease to have on hand... to the best of my knowledge its not a standard grease and has to be compatible with the tranny fluid...
