So every guide states i need a 3044 bulb but instead there is a clear bulb with a longer bottom that I cannot locate anywhere - can anyone help?

What you're holding looks like a 3057. What are you driving?

It does look like a 3057 except the plastic piece with the part numbers is missing.

Tried that one any one with the black casing at the bottom doesn’t fit - this one is longer and thinner

you may have to push in bulb in with a tad bit more force, but if it def. doesn't seem like its going to budge don't force it...also be sure slot is aligned correctly...good luck!

Did the black plastic come off your bulb? And maybe still stuck?

Remove the corresponding bulb on the other side, and check that. Then take the bulbs with you to the parts store and match up.
