Hi Guys,

Is it possible to install remote car starter to my 2000 tahoe z71 without problem with the passcode/security?

Has any one does this before that can give me some advice.

Yes it is possible. Look for well qualified installers in your area and everything should be fine. Ask a lot of questions and if you dont feel comfortable with them, then trust your judgement. Also try to direct your questions at the installers and not salesman. Although most salesman have a good bit of knowledge, installers have a lot more hands on experience.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. If you don't know of any qualified installers in your area, find out who the dealers send their vehicles to for various upgrades e.g., alarms, remote start, etc.

 

your truck is one of the most basic remote starters to do........I wouldn't be too worried about sending it to a futurshop\best buy type of place to have it installed
