Default RE: Remote Starter Range

I have gotten 3/4 of a mile on a reg. bases with the Clifford Matrix 50.5X. Rated to up to a mile but haven't had a chance to test that far. I know this is just about the oem remote starter which I am still using with the alarm. Just think its a good idea to get an alarm as well since the one that came with the Hoe is a joke. For anyone who is wondering why I need such a long range, its because where I work is pretty far from the parking lot and its nice to have your car warm/cool when you get in. Everything still works as the factory remote except I can't turn it off with the remote which it will do after about 10 min anyways.

Does anyone have an update on the availability of the 2 way LCD Remote Start system? I see for my 2007 Tahoe LS that the GM part number 17801237 (Remote Start) has been replaced by part number 19154444. Is this slightly more expensive 19154444 the new 2 Way LCD Remote Start? If not, why the replaced part number, has it been improved?

I asked ZX about this. He said the part number is wrong, it is for the remote starter kit. He will let everyone know when it is released.

OK..I have read a lot of this thread and know where the antenna wire is and how to get to it, but still a little confused as the best place to route the wire once you get to it to get the best range...are people just taping it to the driverside rearmost window????

Yes. That is what I did. I taped it to the black rim of the window so you can't see it from outside.

Can confirm this works for the 2010 Suburban. Antenna wire is in the driver's side, rear-most post (where the speaker is). Wire is not bundled with any other wires, and has its own dedicated clips. Very easy to spot. Silver wire with clear plastic sheathing. I simply removed the antenna from it's clips, and ran it out the side. Increased range by at least a hundred feet.

Welcome to the forum.

The extended range remote antenna is an add-on that is affixed to the bottom, inside edge of the driver's side rear fixed glass. FWIW, I never got any where close to a mile range out of it.
