remove captains chairs
They should have 4 blots holding them down at each corner, disconnect the electrical connectors and tuck them under the carpet....
I have not removed the seats so I can't say specifically if its studs coming up with a nut holding them down or a bolt through the seat to the frame...
You will either need to place the bolts back in the holes to seal them up to prevent water and exhaust gases from coming back into the cabin... if they are studs sticking up you will need to cap them some how to prevent them from being penetrating objects....
But yes the seats can be removed....

I remove my Captain Chairs often. I have since laid down a 3/4" piece of 4'x8' plywood that I covered with Auto carpet to "flatdeck" the back of my burb.
Each of the captain chairs has 4 nuts and one plug. If you prop your seats up, you can pull up on the carpet covered flooring underneath the seat. It should pop right off, and then you can see the four nuts. I take the seats out via the rear access, think they're too big for the side door.

Obviously you have not looked at a 2007 to 2014 ish suburban. The powered 2nd row seats appear to be very complicated to get out. The video above that is no longer available may have been helpful. So I was simply looking for someone with a few tricks up their sleeve to help.
