I recently removed the rear bowtie and place a chrome one instead. I wasn't able to get all of the black spongy glue material off. This wasn't a big deal on the rear b/c the new bowite mounted over it. However, I want to also remove the TAHOE and the LTZ emblems from the side and am concerned over how to remove and restore the paint underneath?

Any advice?

Shouldnt be old enough to have any issues. I have removed a few emblems and all I did was take fishing line behind the emblems, working in a sawing motion. The emblems come right off. Then I just used my thumb and rubbed the remaining tape off. It is simple, you shouldnt have any issues.

Now I'm interested to know what you are going to do with it. I'd be willing to part with mine for the right price! I gotta go find it in the garage.
